Summer Camp

Ages 2 – 13

Our Summer Camp is a Nature and Art immersion Spanish bilingual program centered around the love, exploration, discovery and understanding of the land, our surroundings and ourselves through hiking, nature games, community building, art, and inquiry based learning.

Camp will be held in different parks around the North East Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley areas.

Summer Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Key Program Details

📅 Start Date: June 9th
🕒 Camp Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Please note: A 10-minute window is provided for pick-up. Late pick-ups beyond this window will incur a fee of $5 per minute.

📍 Location: May vary depending on weather. You'll be notified in advance.
📲 Communication: Please download the Brightwheel App, our main form of communication. Ensure your child’s profile is complete, including allergy information and authorized pick-up contacts.

Safety & Supervision

Your child’s well-being is our top priority. Our teachers follow well-established safety practices and teach children clear safety language and signals. We explore base camp boundaries together, use tools with guidance, and learn how to be safe and aware in nature.

All teachers are certified in:

  • CPR & First Aid

  • Wilderness First Aid

Weather Policy

We embrace all kinds of weather!

  • Rainy Days: With the right gear, we play in the rain!

  • Hot Days: We cool off with water play, shade, and rest.

  • Extreme Weather: In cases of lightning, thunderstorms, flooding, fires, AQI 150+, or based on guidance from Pasadena/LA Health Departments, we may cancel or shorten the program. 

What to Bring Daily

Each child must carry a labeled, small, sturdy backpack with the following labeled items:

  • Insulated, covered water bottle (full at drop-off, leak-proof, easy to use)

  • Sealed lunchbox (no refrigeration or reheating is available; sack lunches preferred Mon–Wed)

  • Season-appropriate clothing (On water days, children should arrive wearing their bathing suits)

  • Extra clothes & shoes

  • Hiking shoes (no Crocs!)

  • Socks & underwear

  • Diapers, wipes, cream (if needed)

  • Sunscreen & hat (Children should arrive to camp with with a layer of sunscreen on)

  • Light muslin blanket for rest time (only children who nap)

Note: Children carry their own backpacks. Please pack with weight and comfort in mind.

Field Trips

You’ll receive detailed info a few days in advance. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the designated field trip location for those days.
